The Florida Department of Health in Columbia County’s Emergency Preparedness Section is actively involved in planning and responding to the public health needs of the community in times of emergency or disaster. The priorities of the Florida Department of Health in Columbia County are to assure that the delivery of essential medical and public health services is maintained or restored following a disaster and that assistance is provided to meet emergency needs of the affected population.
DOH-Columbia coordinates with local and regional planning partners to develop response plans to ensure that we are prepared to protect the health of our community.
