Women's Health Services include yearly examinations, pap smears and breast examinations, and infection identification and treatment.
Women's Health Services also includes Family Planning, which plays a key role in pregnancy planning, contraception, and education. This helps families and individuals plan family size, and has a positive effect on health outcomes.
Pap smears are offered to all women beginning at age 21 and follow recommended screening guidelines. Women assigned to the Florida Department of Health in Columbia County (DOH-Columbia), or who have chosen the Florida Department of Health for their physician are eligible for these yearly exams. Otherwise, women not eligible for these services will be referred to their private physician. Both Donna Caldwell, APRN and Dr. Diaz, MD provide Family Planning.
